So yesterday apparently was just NOT my day. Playing outside with the kids and I somehow managed to pull a glute muscle. I stretched it out and that seemed to do nothing. My friend, Emily, planned to meet up at my house and do my 2.5 mile run with me and we did until I made a minor "leap" movement over a tree branch in the road and felt my left quad seemingly tear in two....OW! Now I know what you're thinking...."Hey dumbass, you should stretch before you run!" I DID! I stretched for a good 5-10 minutes before Emily arrived. To top it off I didn't change in to my running socks before I left so I have blisters on the outside of both pinky toes :( Needless to say I didn't end up running the whole 2.5, but I would guess that we probably ran about half and walked the other half. Either way my ankle was sore and swollen when I got home so I iced it. This morning when I woke up, both my quad and my ankle were feeling pretty good, but man that glute that got pulled while I was doing nothing but sitting on it is sore as all get out. LOTS of water today and lots of stretching. More ice on my ankle a couple more times before I have to leave for bootcamp tonight.
Saturday is the Get in Gear 5K and I'm so excited to do it with an awesome group of girls!!
2 month out - GO COMMANDO!!! OMG! It's getting close and I can not even BEGIN to tell you how THRILLED I am! I missed my last appointment with CMC Prints Charming, so I called to try to schedule another one this week to get our tshirt/possibly tank design laid out and we'll be voting on team names before the order is placed.
