The refocus has been slowly getting better.  A great woman once told me "If someone is not helping you, they are hurting you, if they are hurting you, they have to go."  It's a very true statement and one I've found helpful in the last several months.  I've got more going on in my life than I care to even discuss and my plate is overflowing.  However, while my plate is overflowing I've lost who I am and lost sight of my goals and it's really affecting my day to day life.  I'm struggling in almost every aspect of my life and it's not a fun position to be in.  It's time to get a handle on things, it's time to take the control back, it's time to get serious and live the life I've always wanted to live, it's time to get back to me, who I am, what I stand for, and what I want.  It's time for me!

Update

Holy cow!  It's been a whole month since I've blogged.  Call me a slacker if you want, but there has been a LOT going on in my life right now.  To keep this health focused I'll just start by saying that I let the stress and emotion of life get in the way of my goals and aspirations.  I'm doing my best to get refocused and back on track.  I haven't given up and I'm NOT going to give up.  So let's get up to speed.....

Bootcamp just wrapped up (last night was the last night).  My weight and measurement results were not what I would've like to see, but definitely expected considering the circumstances.  I DID lose 3/4 of an inch overall which to most people doesn't seem like much, but to me is a step in the right direction.  Besides the 3/4 inches lost, I made some FANTASTIC improvements in strength and endurance, which is a plus.  Of course I would to see all of my numbers be phenomenal , but as Tina has reminded me several times, they can't all change at the same time, so as long as SOMETHING is changing, I'm going to call it a win....so here are my results...

Pull ups - 18 - 25 Increase of 38.89%
Full Sit Ups - 35 - 44 Increase of 25.71%
Stand and Sits - 52 - 64 Increase of 23.08%

Endurance
Burpees - 13 - 13 (both with close wardrobe malfunctions)
Box Drills - 6 - 7.5 Increase of 25%
1 Mile Run - 10:13 - 10:02 Increase of 1.83
Card Catch - 16 - 36

Overall Increase in Strength - 21.92%
Overall Increase in Endurance - 6.71%

Total Increased for Strength AND Endurance - 14.31%

Last night for our last night of boot camp we boxed, which was AMAZING.  However, I came so incredibly close to knocking one of my girlfriends out it was almost not even funny! lol.  An inch more in the length of my arm and she would've taken a pretty good hit to the temple.  Love ya Em!
